Job Summary
The Harbert College of Business is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Associate. This position is responsible for general administrative duties for various departments within the College.


About TES:
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process payroll functions to include timekeeping activities
  • Process financial transactions to include travel and expense vouchers
  • Events scheduling
  • Purchasing/Order supplies
  • Scheduling classrooms, entering course information, etc.
  • Answering the phone and providing assistance to the department
  • Filing and other various projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Entry level experience required for the position is two (2) years in clerical and administrative support services

  • Level II experience required for this position is four (4) years in clerical and administrative support services.

*College degree may be used in lieu of experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in no specific discipline
  • Experience in Banner systems
  • Experience in PeopleAdmin
