Job Description
Responsibilities
* Provide importing and exporting guidance to R&D and various other departments within the company.
* Review and classify shipments per DOT/IATA regulations.
* Assure the oversight of "in transit" shipments and assist in the resolution of customs issues and courier/airline delays.
* Establish and maintain policies and procedures with the International Trade Compliance Team such as restricted parties' screenings, shipping record retention, and customs documents creation.
* Lead the development of the "Shipping App" to incorporate incoming workflows and general improvements and upgrades.
* Ensure the collection of temperature data reports, shipping costs, and overall logistic metrics.
* Foster a partnership with internal logistics and together develop processes around the internal pickup and handoff of exports to logistic couriers.
* Reviewing bills of lading and other shipping documents to ensure that they are accurate and complete.
* Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
* Maintain package tracking logs and any electronic data around shipments.
* Monitoring computer systems to ensure that the data is accurate and up to date.
* Prepare courier packages, coordinate pick-up and delivery, confirm delivery/receipt with appropriate stakeholders, and resolve any related issues in a timely manner.
* Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years logistics and trade compliance experience in Biotech, Pharma or Clinical Research Organization.
* Working knowledge of relevant DOT/IATA guidelines and regulations.
* Experience working with researchers, couriers, and service providers.
* Familiarity with common international trade compliance practices.
* Excellent logistical judgment and ability to communicate complex issues in a professionally sound and understandable way.
* Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
* Ability to use computers, software and other technology for logistics and communication purposes
