Business Unit Overview

This position is part of Novanta's Corporate and Shared Services global teams. Novanta's Corporate and Shared Services teams play an important role in executing the company's strategic mission and operations. Included in Corporate and Shared Services are the business functions including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development and Corporate Marketing. The Corporate and Shared Services teams work closely with all Novanta business units to support operating initiatives contributing to the organization's financial success.

Summary

As the IT Digital Development Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems and applications. You will lead effective planning, testing, implementation and administration of interactive technologies, websites, applications, and social media platforms. Your goal will be to ensure the uninterrupted operation of these systems and to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and will drive innovation to support growth. Your leadership and technical expertise will be critical to the success of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with internal personnel and external agency partners.
  • Collaborating with other departments to identify and address technology needs, including ERP, HCM, CRM, and others.
  • Leading small to large website development projects from beginning to completion.
  • Ensuring best practices are utilized in delivering Reporting/Analytics, Data Management, and Integration Solutions.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT applications environments.
  • Evaluating and recommending new hardware, software, and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of web development experience along with hosting, coordinating design/development, SEO, digital advertising, behavior analytics.
  • Exposure to current trends in web development in a cross-platform environment.
  • Have experience in budgeting and managing IT resources to optimize costs.
  • Be able to lead a team of IT professionals and effectively delegate tasks.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $105,311 to $144,803 per year depending on the geographic market.
  • This position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
