Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Contents and Records Coordinator to join our team! This position will support all of our Texas locations.

What does the Contents and Records Coordinator do? (including but not limited to)

Under minimal supervision, performs duties to provide administrative and organizational support to Texas Oncology through content and record management in the applicable systems. Masters the company's suite of information technologies to enhance processes. Develops close relationships with employees to ensure consistent customer service. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.



Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Works closely with TxO Application Manager and Medical Librarian to effectively and efficiently support content and record management environments.

  • Manages the lifecycle of Texas Oncology policies/guidelines/forms to ensure accuracy including: template usage; reference documents; timely review and approval; attestations; etc.

  • Communicates clearly, concisely and promptly with all levels of leadership regarding information relating to content and records management initiatives.

  • Serves as the liaison between policy/guideline/form owners and leadership to resolve information redundancy, handle questions, triage changes, etc.

  • Conducts regular audits of intranet environment to determine duplication of information.

  • Serves as co-chair of the Policy Oversight Committee.



Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Associates degree, or equivalent experience, in library science, information science or a related field as it relates to records management.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with records management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; SharePoint 2019 specific experience preferred.
  • Proven skillsets in the following areas: problem solving, customer service, teaching in a virtual environment, ability to learn new technologies, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred skillsets in searching, building taxonomies, indexing, abstracting, data management, editing, experience with content management systems and databases.
  • Health care/clinical knowledge and/or experience preferred.
