Job Summary | Do you like nature and the outdoors? Do you like teaching about the natural world? Come and work part-time at the Kreher Preserve & Nature Center (KPNC) as a Nature Educator! The KPNC is seeking teachers/naturalists to conduct educational programs and classes, lead camps and guided hikes, and assist with community events, all pertaining to outdoor and natural themes. Under the direct supervision of the KPNC Education Director, you will be teaching about a variety of possible topics including plant life and ecology, animal life and ecology, native/non-native species, forestry, geology, astronomy, biodiversity, climate, natural history, and much more. Classes consist of a broad diversity of students, interactive and engaging lessons, and innovative teaching strategies. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus.
