Auburn Veterinary Specialists - Gulf Shores seeks candidates for a Veterinary Assistant III position to perform various tasks related to the care and treatment of animal patients. This position assists in the monitoring and treatment of all patients admitted to the hospital. This position will be responsible for providing support for dermatology, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and patient care. The ideal candidate is flexible and enjoys working with multiple services. As a teaching institution, we excel at teaching advanced techniques, not only to vet students but to our staff. This individual will help with endoscopies, ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, surgery scrub, patient histories, client communication, filling medications, various diagnostic procedures as well as monitoring patients post-procedure. Scheduling can be flexible for the right individual. Auburn Veterinary Specialists is the centerpiece of a 24,000-square-foot Auburn University Educational Complex in Gulf Shores, Alabama, providing specialty veterinary services and educational opportunities for students interested in internal medicine and surgery, and is a satellite of the Auburn University Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
