Job Summary |
This is a 1yr limited term position appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds. The Department of Horticulture is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant. The successful candidate will be expected to assist faculty, staff, and graduate students with research needs. Minimum Qualifications |
Education and Experience: Level I: Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or a closely related field; no experience required. Level II: Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols. Level III: Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or a closely related field and 4 years of experience in research practices and protocols. Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |

Minimum Skills and Abilities | Basic construction and maintenance skills and ability to safely operate power tools and tractors. |
