The Systems Engineer role performs system management and administrative activities that are complex in nature. The position ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of server systems that supports research, instruction and administration within the College. The position supports a multi-node virtual environment (Proxmox) as well as physical servers providing network services - file servers, email, DNS, DHCP, software licenses, SFTP, Git repositories. The position manages the infrastructure and works with the College of Engineering Network Services department to implement all services. Minimum Qualifications |
Systems Engineer: High school diploma and 11 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience. Typical salaries are between $68,200 - $81,100 Sr Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience Typical salaries are between $75,867 - $91,833.00 Scope of Experience: Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems, preferably in a university setting. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. |
