Job Description

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a SQL Developer for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

Job Overview:

Responsible for developing applications and integrations using the Microsoft SQL Server platform and providing technical/production support. This will include business intelligence/data analysis, reporting, capturing requirements, testing, monitoring, and implementing solutions via a structured software development life cycle.

  • Provides Analytics support to Health Systems and Analytics Division.
  • Designs and develops reports in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and ETL packages in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Actively participate in meetings with project managers, team leads, analysts, and other Agency staff as needed.
  • Assists in mentoring and training business analysts.
  • Participates in SQL code reviews and is skilled to write and deploy SQL patches.
  • Assists with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning.
  • Assists with application schema upgrades and improvement, and data upgrades.
  • Develops stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views using SQL.
  • Creates scripts to build new database objects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of health industry experience as SQL developer.
  • SSIS 2016 and higher SSRS SQL server management studio
  • Experience with Designing and developing reports in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and ETL
  • Must have data warehouse experience following Kimball's Methodology.
  • Skilled to write and deploy SQL patches.
  • Familiar with MS Office Suite
  • Familiar with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning
  • Experience with Developing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views using SQL
  • Experience creating scripts to build new database objects
  • Good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on one or more projects at a time sometimes as a team member or sometimes as a project leader.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to problem-solving

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related field.

Or

Relevant equivalent work experience above the minimum required
