This is a pool posting for future vacancies in this job classification. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking candidates for multiple positions for Research Engineer/Scientist. A Research Engineer/Scientist conducts research in various fields of engineering to design and develop technology and to carry out investigations, evaluation, and application of engineering theories and principles. These positions will be based on two-year terms which will be renewable based on performance and abilities to secure and support externally funded research. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field or Engineering to include: Aerospace, Biosystems, Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Computer Science and Software, Electrical and Computer, Industrial and Systems, Mechanical and Materials at the time employment begins.
Experience in engineering and research practices and principles in microelectronics, automotive electronics, highway research, robotics and autonomous systems, metallurgy and materials, asphalt technology, pulp and paper, transportation, energy technology, detection and food safety, cyber-security and information technology or experience in various fields of science that could include mathematics, physical sciences, life sciences, computer science, etc. Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of experience. |
