Job Summary
Outreach at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Rural Health Graduate Assistant! The position shall be for a minimum duration of one academic year. Graduate Assistantship opportunity in University Outreach to oversee special projects and programming.

This position will apply functional knowledge, skills, and abilities from the educational program that are related to the administration and management of audiology services. The benefits added to the student’s educational experience will be related to enhancing their ability to conduct research and coordinate clinical practices that improve scientific understanding of auditory and communication processes and disorders.

Essential Functions
  • Schedule meetings and maintain documentation.
  • Serve as communication contact with a variety of constituents, including elected and appointed city and state leaders.
  • Attend local/state-wide/regional meetings as assigned.
  • Attend outreach activities and/or assist in hosting events and activities as assigned.
  • Prepare and compile qualitative and quantitative project reports.
  • Travel: Up to 20% of time
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in graduate program of study at Auburn University with a strong academic background and excellent public service and communication skills.

Expectations:
  • Interest in public service, public health, or rural health and delivery of quality customer service.
  • Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are imperative.
  • This position does require some traveling and includes travel reimbursement.
