Student Accounting Assistant

Job Summary
Providing administrative and accounting support to the department. The student should have strong communication skills, be proficient in Excel, and be motivated to learn.
Essential Functions
Will work mainly with the departmental accountant with entry-level duties such as purchasing card reconciliation and processing vendor/journal vouchers, as well as some daily office duties such as mail collection, campus errands, and interaction with visitors and students. Additional accounting duties may be added later dependent on the candidate’s skill level.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Auburn University.
Preferred Qualifications
Clerical and financial office experience preferred.
Pay Rate $12.00- $15.00/hour
Work Hours Work hours can vary between 7:45 am - 4:45 pm. Occasional additional work may be required based on event needs. Students are limited to 20 hours per week during Fall and Spring semester.
